The Gap of Dunloe is home to many beautiful things; striking
scenery, gorgeous backdrops, breathtaking foliage and now,
stunning hats and headpieces too, courtesy of milliner Josie
McCannon. Based in Kerry, Josie finds that between the county’s
many weddings, race meetings and other stylish events, she is
being inundated with requests for unique and interesting head
pieces.
Josie offers a very personal service where she requests a meeting with the client to discuss exactly what they are looking for, what they will be wearing it to, what they will be wearing it with and how the client might want to be seen and she then goes about creating the hat in question. Her hats, which are creative works of art in their own right, are designed and made to compliment each outfit perfectly. Price ranges for this bespoke service range from 100 to 350 euro +.
